Turkey Sliders

Makes: 12 Sliders
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) ketchup
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) yellow mustard
- 1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 lb (454 g) extra lean ground Ontario turkey
- 6 slider buns (if serving open faced; 12 if serving on whole bun)
- 1 cup (250 mL) lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
In large bowl, stir together egg, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and breadcrumbs. Add turkey and using hands combine until well-distributed. Divide into 12 small balls and shape each into a burger patty.
Place burgers onto greased grill over medium heat and grill for about 10 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink inside.
Open burger buns and top each with some of the lettuce. Place burgers on top of lettuce and sprinkle each with some of the tomato to serve.
Oven Roasting Options: Place burgers on foil lined baking sheet and roast in 400°F (200°C) oven for about 15 minutes or until no longer pink inside.
Freezer Friendly: Make the burgers and layer them on parchment or wax paper and freeze until solid. Remove and place in resealable bag or container and freeze for up to 1 month. Cook from frozen on the grill or in oven, and add about 5 minutes to cooking time.
